Bali Beacon is an independent travel-planning website at balibeacon.com. This policy explains the data practices currently in use. It applies to information collected through the website, not to external websites or booking providers that readers may visit through a link.

We use Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor chooses to accept analytics. When enabled, Google Analytics may collect technical and usage information such as page views, browser and device characteristics, referral information, approximate location inferred from IP address and interactions such as scroll depth or outbound-link clicks. We use this information in aggregate to understand which guides are useful and to improve the site. We do not intentionally send Google Analytics names, contact details, payment details, passport information, health information or other sensitive data.

Separately, a visitor may choose to enable affiliate technology. When this choice is accepted, Bali Beacon loads Travelpayouts Drive to enable relevant travel offers and affiliate-link functionality. Travelpayouts and the booking providers it connects may process technical, link and interaction information under their own terms and privacy policies. Affiliate technology is optional and is not needed to read our guides.

Your analytics and affiliate choices are stored separately in your browser using local storage. If you decline one of these options, its script is not loaded. You can change a prior choice through the Cookie settings control in the footer. Google, Travelpayouts and any provider reached through an affiliate link process their own data under their respective terms and settings.

We do not operate display advertising tags, sell personal information, run an email newsletter form or accept payments on this website at launch. If you contact us by email, your message and email address are handled by your email provider and ours for the purpose of responding to the request. Do not send passports, payment details, health information or other sensitive information through a general contact channel.

Before any new advertising technology, newsletter platform, embedded booking tool or material data use is introduced, this policy and the consent process will be reviewed and updated.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about personal data associated with your email inquiry, including access, correction or deletion where applicable. This policy may change when the website's services or data practices change; the page review date shows when it was last reviewed.
